BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State Univeristy women’s tennis (0-1) will look for its first victory in the home opener at the Yonahlossee Tennis Club against College of Charleston with first serve set for 10 a.m.
The Apps are coming off a 7-0 setback to then-No. 4 North Carolina at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center where the Tar Heels proved to be too much for the Mountaineers.
Freshman Heidi Swope came the closes to nabbing a set, falling to her opponent 6-3, 7-5. Appalachian will look for its first home opening win since a 4-3 victory over UNC-Ashville in 2013-14.
