BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's tennis travels to Blacksburg, Va. for the three-day Hokie Fall Invitational hosted by Virginia Tech.
The Mountaineers are taking part in their first fall tournament hosted by another program. App returns six of nine letterwinners from last season's 11-11 squad that won its first-ever Sun Belt Tournament over then-No. 10 seed Texas State. Its six-win improvement was tied for the largest increase in the Sun Belt.
Returning for App includes three of the four student-athletes in Teodora Sevo, Maria José Zacarías and Heidi Swope, who all earned all-Sun Belt singles or doubles.
