ATLANTA - Appalachian State University women's tennis (10-8, 0-3 SBC) fell to a hot Troy (7-10, 3-2 SBC) at GSU Clarkston Campus.
The Mountaineers fell in the doubles point while the Trojans captured five of six singles contests.
Highlighting the Apps was the tandem of Teodora Sevo and Melissa Machado, who improved to a team-best 12-4 after a 6-3 triumph over Maria Casa Blas/Pei Ju Hsieh. The 12 wins are the most for a tandem since the 2012 campaign when Jennifer Ansari and Ellie Linsell won 12 contests.
Heidi Swope and María José Zacarias fell to Nancy Karaky/Sanae Ohta in a valiant effort that went to a tiebreak, 7-6 (7-2).
