Women's Tennis Hosts Gardner-Webb

BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women’s tennis (4-10, 0-2 SBC) returns to action on its home court on Wednesday with a 2 p.m. match against Gardner-Webb (6-10) at Varsity Courts.

The Mountaineers were last in action last week against Troy and No. 47 Georgia State, where they fell in both matches on the road in Troy, Ala. Clare Cox and Heidi Swope led Appalachian in both matches, winning singles matches against Troy and a doubles triumph against the Panthers.

Despite a losing record, the Apps are 3-2 on their home court this season and will look to snap a four-match skid.
