NEW ORLEANS -- Appalachian State University women’s tennis suffered a tightly-contested 4-3 setback on Thursday afternoon to No. 7 seed and archrival Georgia Southern in the first round of the 2017 Sun Belt Tennis Championship held in New Orleans at City Park Tennis Courts.
You couldn’t have asked for a more exciting match where both of App’s doubles wins were decided by two points and three of the six singles matches went to three sets. App was close once again as all three first round losses since joining the league have been decided by one point.
