NORFOLK, Va. - Appalachian State University women's tennis (3-2) got back on the winning track with a 5-2 triumph over Charlotte (2-1) on Saturday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
The Mountaineers handed the 49ers their first loss of the season by capturing two out of three doubles matches and four of six singles contests. Singles was about as close you could ask for with three affairs that were decided in three sets.
"A great week of practice let to this great team victory," head coach Blake Mosley mentioned after the triumph. "I'm very proud of the way we fought and stayed true to our identities when we faced adversity.
