CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's tennis finished the ITA Regionals hosted by North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
The Mountaineers faced some tough competition with the field including teams from North and South Carolina. Rebecca Morse and Melissa Machado also competed in the five-day tournament. Morse suffered a 6-2, 6-4, setback to UNCW's Xandra Fougner, while Machao would face Alex Lee (Charlotte), falling 6-3, 6-2 in qualifying singles. Taylor Bygrave took on Rachel Rohrbacher of South Carolina. Bygrave fell in the first set, 6-3, but came back to capture the second frame, 6-2, before falling in a valiant effort.
