BOONE, N.C. - Morgan Mosack nabbed her first goal of the season, but it wasn't enough as Appalachian State University women's soccer (2-9-3, 1-4-1 SBC) suffered a 2-1 setback to Georgia Southern (5-6-1, 3-3-0 SBC) on Friday evening at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.
Trailing 1-0 after Asha Vilaythong gave GS a 1-0 lead early in the first half, the Apps fought back later in the second stanza to tie things up when Mosack took advantage of the penalty kick that App received in the 71st minute. Mosack collected the third goal of her career, while she ended the night leading the team with five shots and two shots on goal.
