Women’s Soccer Preps for Liberty, Maryland

BOONE, N.C. — After tying a program-best start in Week Two, Appalachian State University women’s soccer will face the final of their four-match road trip when they go to Liberty at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2 before returning home to host Maryland on Sunday, Aug. at 1 p.m.

With the early season success, the Mountaineers (3-1) have ranked well against over Sun Belt Conference teams, currently ranking tied for second behind Troy. The team is also second in points with 19 (4.75/game), second in assists (seven) and tied-third in goals (six). For the second week in a row, Appalachian leads the conference in corners with 37, a full 16 more than Georgia Southern at No.
