Boone, N.C. - App State women's soccer picked up its first win of the season with a convincing 3-0 victory on Thursday evening against UNC Asheville at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.
App State moved to 1-0 with its first season-opening win since a 3-1 triumph over Northern Kentucky in 2016.
The Mountaineers dominated ball possession for majority of the contest, and got on the board when Kirsten Seeley tallied a score in the 23 minute of the first period, while Stephanie Barbosa earned the assist for her first collegiate point.
