BOONE, N.C. - App State women's soccer earned its first win of the spring with a 1-0 triumph over Davidson on Thursday evening at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.
The Mountaineers improve to 6-10-1 on the season while Davidson drops to 1-1. App State has won the last five meetings against the Wildcats in the series.
All the Apps needed was an Olivia Cohen penalty goal for her second score of the season. Cohen fired in the strike in the 60th minute of the contest.
Davidson's Hailey Braemer's shot on goal in the 67th minute was stopped by Kerry Eagleston for her only save of the match.
