CHARLESTON, S.C. — Appalachian State University women's golf finished the first day of the Bulldog Invitational in a tie for second place with a team score of 307. The Mountaineers and Wofford sit at 19-over par after the first round.
Lamar is out in front of the rest of the field with a first round 295.
Emily Stinson and Savanna Wood paced the Mountaineers, both posting rounds of of 3-over 75. Stinson and Wood are tied for fifth place.
Not far behind was Madalyn Davis.
