CHARLESTON, S.C. — App State Women's Golf opens its 2023 spring season Monday with the first round of the Oyster Shuck Match Play event at the Charleston Municipal Golf Course.
The Mountaineers will face Western Carolina in the opening round. The other first-round matchups pit The Citadel against James Madison, Samford against Delaware State and UNCG against Radford.
Two teams – JMU (No. 77) and Western (No. 83) – rank among the Top 100 in the latest GolfStat rankings. The App State-Western and UNCG-Radford matchups are on the same half of the bracket.
With recent rains, the par-72, 5,810-yard layout is expected to play longer than usual.
