BOONE, N.C. -- Appalachian State head women's cross country coach and track & field distance coach Michael Curcio has announced the signing of Izz Evely (Huntersville, N.C./Lake Norman Charter School).
"We are very excited to have Izzy join our program," said Curcio. "She has shown the talent and work ethic to step right in and contribute to our continued success in cross country."
Evely helped guide her team to a runner up finish at the state championship meet, posting a career-best time of 18:07 in the meet.
During the track season, her primary focus will be on middle distance.
