Williams Nets Career-High 19 Points in Mountaineer Victory Over UTEP

CONWAY, S.C. -- Sophomore O'Showen Williams (Macon, Ga./Stratford Academy) scored a career-high 19 points off the bench to lead Appalachian State past UTEP 76-72 at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off at Myrtle Beach on Sunday.

Williams finished 6-of-8 (75.0 percent) from the field and went 4-of-5 (80.0 percent) on 3-pointers. He also grabbed career-best seven rebounds and dished out five assists.

Senior Craig Hinton (Winson-Salem, N.C./East Forsyth) added 11 points on 3-of-5 (60.0 percent) shooting in a reserve role.

Junior Ronshad Shabazz (Raleigh, N.C./Huntington Prep) battled early foul trouble but finished with 12 points.
