BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's tennis senior Scott Webster was invited to participate in the prestigious Oracle ITA Master's Tournament hosted by Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif.
"I was a bit shocked when I received the invitation for the tournament because of the quality of players that play every year," Webster said. "In saying though, I'm absolutely stoked to be going to Malibu to represent the Sun Belt and App State. It will be fun competing against the caliber of talent on such a big stage."
Webster is just one of 32 tennis athletes from across the nation and the lone athlete from the Sun Belt to take part in the four-day tournament that begins on Thursday.
