NEW ORLEANS — Scott Webster of Appalachian State University men’s tennis was named the Sun Belt Men’s Tennis Player of the Week after his performances against Eastern Kentucky and Oral Roberts, the league announced on Wednesday.
The junior garners the award for the first time this season, and it’s the second Sun Belt Weekly Award in his career.
Webster finished the week both 2-0 in singles and doubles action, contributing to a 2-0 finish for App with wins over Eastern Kentucky and Oral Roberts. In the win over EKU, the Mountaineers snapped the Colonels’ then-three match win streak.
