NEW ORLEANS - Appalachian State University track and field head coach, John Weaver, was named the Southeast Region Women's Indoor Head Coach of the Year on Friday, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced.
"It is special when your colleagues recognize your program with such an award," said Weaver. "However, it is because of the hard work and dedication to the pursuit of success from each of our athletes as individuals and as a team that this award has come to me. I am proud to be a part of our team's success and I am proud to be a Mountaineer!
