NEW ORLEANS - Appalachian State University track and field head coach John Weaver was named the Women’s Indoor Track and Field Head Coach of the Year and Tristin Van Ord was chosen as the Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, as announced by the Sun Belt on Wednesday.
This recognition comes just over one week after the women's team captured the school's first ever Sun Belt team title by taking first at the league's indoor meet with 101.5 points, two points more than defending champion, Texas State.
