BOONE, N.C. - Two future Appalachian State University women’s basketball student-athletes were nominated for the 2016 McDonald’s All-American game, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Bayley Plummer and Mikaya Wilson were nominated to the prestigious list that features standouts such as Candace Parker and Elena Della Donne, while 50 players that made the team went on to play in the WNBA.
Plummer and and Wilson are two of nine student-athletes from North Carolina that were nominated. The App State commitments are two of four signees that look to make an immediate impact to the program next season along with Brooklyn Allen and Armani Hampton.
