MONROE, La. — Appalachian State University baseball dropped the final game of its three game series with UL Monroe, 6-2, on Saturday after the Warhawks (10-13, 2-4 Sun Belt) hit three home runs over the left-field wall. The Mountaineers (5-19, 1-8 Sun Belt) lost the series, 2-1.
App State got on the scoreboard first in the third inning. Chandler Seagle hit a lead-off double down the left field line and then was moved over to third base on Brian Bauk’s sacrifice bunt. Tanner Mann-Fix brought Seagle home with a single up to middle, giving App State a 1-0 advantage.
