JONESBORO, ARK. – Appalachian State volleyball advances in the Sun Belt Conference tournament after an exciting five-set win to upset the UT Arlington Mavericks (21-25, 25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 15-11).
App State completes their fourteenth five-set match of the season with a win in the first round of the SBC tournament. Kara Spicer boosted the Mountaineers with 15 kills on the day. Sydney Farthing kept the ball off the court with 16 digs. Cassidy Stephenson had an impressive performance at the net with eight blocks, and Ashlyn Brown had 51 assists.
