MOBILE, Ala. – Appalachian State volleyball won its eighth straight contest by a 25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17 score over South Alabama in its regular season finale on Sunday.
The Mountaineers conclude the regular season with a 21-7 mark and a 13-3 record in the Sun Belt. The 13 conference victories are tied for the most wins for the program in Sun Belt play since joining the conference in 2014.
In the opening frame, the two teams found themselves knotted at 15-15. From there App State won six straight points to open a 21-15 edge. The Mountaineers never looked back, winning the set 25-17.
