Volleyball Takes South Alabama to Five Sets

BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State volleyball brought high-ranked SBC opponent South Alabama to five sets on Friday, Oct. 27 before the Jaguars overcame the Mountaineers for the overall win (26-28, 25-12, 25-22, 21-25, 15-6).

App State challenged South Alabama in five hard-fought sets. The Mountaineers started the night off beating the Jaguars for the first set in extra points 26-28. A late 5-0 run thanks to a kill each from Courtney Sullivan and Lexi Kohut killed the Jaguar's lead and brought the Mountaineers ahead 21-22. App State finished the set with a 3-0 run to win it.
