BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State volleyball lost a close match to Georgia State on Friday, Oct. 6 (21-25, 26-24, 25-20, 22-25, 22-20).
The Georgia State Panthers defeated the App State Mountaineers in five hard-fought sets.
In the first set, App State had a 6-0 run to come out ahead of the Panthers, bringing the score to 14-19 after being down 14-13. Lexi Kohut ended the match with a kill for a 21-25 triumph.
Looking to finish the second set like the first, the Mountaineers diminished the Panther's four-point deficit to bring the score to 13-13.
