STATESBORO, GA. – Appalachian State volleyball defeats Georgia Southern for a second time this season on Friday, Nov. 3 in five sets (25-20, 23-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-13). App State is now 5-8 in Sun Belt play with a 10-17 overall record.
The Mountaineers started out strong with a 3-0 run in the first set. They carried this momentum throughout the set with the help of Emma Longley and Courtney Sullivan. The Mountaineers won the first 25-20.
In the second set, the Eagles barely scraped by to take it 23-25. The third set brought an early 5-0 run for the Mountaineers that brought the score to 6-3.
