BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State volleyball loses to SBC opponent Texas State in three matches on Sept. 29.
The Mountaineers fell to the Bobcats (25-21, 25-21, 25-21) despite a long lead in the third set. Kara Spicer and Courtney Sullivan lead the first set in kills with four each.
The second set proved strong for the Mountaineers with a 4-0 run to bring the lead to 10-6 early in the set. Lexi Kohut ended Texas State's 5-0 run with back-to-back kills. Morrison sparked a 2-0 run to bring the score closer late in the second set, but it was not enough for App State to come out on top.
