Volleyball Bounces Back to Finish Off the Eagles

BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State took down Georgia State in four sets on Sunday, Oct. 8 (25-23, 20-25, 21-25, 27-25).

App State started the first set off strong with a 3-0 run. Fighting to the end, the Mountaineers lost by a mere two points with a final score of 23-25. Melissa McMath led the first set with seven kills. Ashlyn Brown had 12 assists.

The Mountaineers came out with a vengeance in the second set. Starting behind, they turned the game around to remain in the lead from 6-7 onward. At one point in the game leading by eight, the Mountaineers were fired up to push through for the victory.
