Van Ord Leads App State on Big Day One

LAFAYETTE, La. – Tristin Van Ord led Appalachian State University women's track and field on day one of the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships with a huge first-place finish in the 10,000-meter run.

Van Ord won the 10,000-meters with a time of 35:47.91. Brittany Williams grabbed sixth with a time of 37:18.15, while Dana Cox and Erin Jameson finished right behind in seventh and eighth with times of 38:13.87 and 38:44.32, respectively.

Taylor Drummonds scored four points with a fifth-place finish in the pole vault with a jump of 12-4.
