NEW ORLEANS – Tristin Van Ord, a standout on the Appalachian State University women’s track and field team, was selected as a U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) all-academic honoree, announced by the USTFCCCA on Thursday.
A total of 910 women from 192 institutions earned USTFCCCA all-academic honors during the 2015-16 track and field season. To qualify for the all-academic team, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
• For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 for an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listin) in a relay event on the official POP list provided by TFRRs.
