ELON, N.C. — Bowling Green scored five of its six runs with two outs in a 6-2 win over Appalachian State University baseball on Saturday at Elon’s Latham Park.
After it scored its first run with one out in the first inning, Bowling Green (3-5) went on to plate each of its final five runs with two outs — one in the second, one in the fourth, one in the fifth and two in the seventh. Six of BG’s 10 hits came with two outs, as the Falcons went 6-for-13 (.462) when facing their final out in an inning.
