BOONE, N.C. - The Southern Conference announced on Thursday that 12 Appalachian State University wrestling student-athletes were named to the conference's Academic Honor Roll for the 2016-17 season.
To be eligible for the honor roll, a student-athlete who participates in varsity sports must post a 3.0 GPA or higher, be eligible the entire academic year and be members of the final squad lists.
In addition to earning sports on the honor roll, graduate Vito Pasone (3.90 - Higher Education - Teaching) and David Peters-Logue (3.90 - Sustainable Technology) received Conference Commissioner's Medals for posting a GPA of 3.
