BOONE, N.C. — Four weeks into Appalachian State University football’s Battle for the Belt, the teams faced off in the Tuesday competition called the ‘Tour de Boone’ – a race where teams run around the town carrying weight and rope, beginning and ending at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
‘Wrecking Crew’ (150 pts.) and ‘PrimeTime’ (115 pts.) finished the ‘Tour de Boone’ in first and second respectively, with ‘Moneybag’, ‘Bread Winners’, ‘The Wanted’, ’Turbo Gang’, ‘FBG and ‘Ambush’ rounding out the pack.
Juicemen allowed ‘The Wanted’, co-captained by Beau Nunn and Terrence Upshaw, and to surge into third place in the overall Battle for the Belt competition, this week finishing with 3,952 points.
