Texas State Takes Two from App State Softball

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – Appalachian State University softball dropped a pair to Texas State in their first conference doubleheader of the season in San Marcos, Texas on Saturday. The Bobcats quieted App State’s offense 11-0 in five innings in game one and overwhelmed App 9-1 in six outings for game two.

Appalachian State (11-11, 0-2 Sun Belt) registered eight hits on the day, and six ladies made connections at the Bobcat Softball Stadium. Ally Walters and Jenny Dodd turned in two-hit performances both going 2-for-4 on the day, and Cara Parker (Valdosta, Ga.
