BOONE, N.C. - In the final full week of September, App State Athletics is proud to highlight its community partner, the Hunger and Health Coalition, for the final stretch of National Hunger Action Month.
In most years, the Hunger and Health Coalition holds a canned food drive outside the Kidd Brewer Stadium gates at a late September App State football game. Due to the pandemic and its effects, the annual pregame canned food drive will not take place this year, which is expected to significantly decrease the coalition's typical influx of foods at this time of year for its food pantry supply.
