BOONE, N.C. – Following a 48-13 road win over Troy to cap the regular season, App State (11-1, 7-1 Sun Belt) will host the Sun Belt Football Championship Game at Kidd Brewer Stadium for the second time in two years of the title game's existence.
The nationally ranked, East champion Mountaineers (No. 22 in AP and Coaches, No. 25 in College Football Playoff) will play the West champion Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns (9-2, 6-1 Sun Belt with a game at ULM on Saturday) for the league title on Saturday, Dec. 7 (noon ET on ESPN).
App State defeated Louisiana 30-19 in last year's inaugural Sun Belt championship game in Boone.
