NEW ORLEANS - App State women's basketball senior guard Pre Stanley was named the Sun Belt Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
It's the second time this season Stanley earns the weekly honor, becoming one of two players in the league (Alexus Dye-Troy) to be named player of the week multiple times. She is the first App State student-athlete to be named player of the week twice in one season since Anna Freeman during the 2011-12 campaign when the Apps were in the SoCon. Also, Stanley was named the College Sport Madness National Player of the Week for her superb efforts.
