NEW ORLEANS – App State junior forward Tre'Von Spillers has been named the Sun Belt Player of the Week after two stellar outings in the Mountaineers' wins against Georgia State and Coastal Carolina at the Holmes Center.
Spillers led the Mountaineers in scoring both games last week, scoring a season-best 23 points and grabbing a season-high 13 rebounds against Georgia State last Wednesday. Three days later, he scored 18 points on 9-of-11 shooting, fell one rebound shy of another double-double and blocked two shots against Coastal Carolina.
For the week, Spillers averaged 20.
