BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University softball was no-hit by two-time and defending Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week, Devin Brown, on Saturday as South Alabama won 6-0 to take the three-game sweep in Boone.
The Mountaineers fell to 7-27 overall and 1-8 in league play while the Jaguars improved to 18-10 on the spring including 6-2 in the SBC. Brown (10-6) tossed her second no-no in five games after throwing a five-inning perfect game against ULM on Sunday.
In two starts against App State this weekend, the sophomore didn't allow a run, struck out 27 batters and walked five in 14 innings of work.
