BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University softball will face off against in-state foe, North Carolina A&T, for the first time since 2013 on Thursday with a twinbill beginning at 4 p.m. inside Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium.
The Mountaineers (9-43) completed Sun Belt Conference play this past weekend against Texas State and are looking to snap a 14-game losing streak. On the other side, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Aggies (17-28) have won three in a row since dropping 14 of 15 from March 30-April 24. Those three-straight victories came against App State's final opponent of the season, North Carolina Central (Saturday in Chapel Hill - 2 p.
