BOONE, N.C. – After slipping into a 9-0 hole and waiting for an hour and 49-minute rain delay, Appalachian State University softball dropped game three to Georgia Southern in six innings 11-2 at the Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium in Boone on Saturday afternoon.
App State (12-27, 0-15 SBC) racked up four hits against the Eagles (21-19, 11-7 SBC) in the conference series finale and Katie Mathewson bombed out her eighth home run of her career. Also, Megan Walker was perfect on the day going 2-for-2 slamming out her first triple of the season.
