NEW ORLEANS - App State senior was named Sun Belt Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week after she recorded a trio of first place finishes and facility records at the App State Open on April 27, the league announced on Wednesday. The accolade is Smith's first in the field category and third outdoor honor this season. She was previously named SBC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on March 20 and April 17.
In the women's long jump, Smith landed first with a leap of 6.32m (20' 9"), which moved her to second in the App State all-time list.
