CLEVELAND – Juniors Meghan Smart and Annette Jarosz became the first Mountaineers to sweep the Mid-American Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week honors, as announced by the MAC on Tuesday afternoon.
Smart earned her first Offensive Player of the Week award after notching two goals, five shots and four shots on goal in an undefeated weekend for App State. Smart scored both her goals in a 3-2 win against Lafayette, registering her third game-winning goal of the season with less than four minutes remaining.
Jarosz became the first App State player to win her second Player of the Week award.
