RALEIGH, N.C. –– Appalachian State University men’s basketball shot just 31.6 percent from the floor and 4-for-29 from long range, while NC State finished 34-for-41 from the free throw line en route to a lopsided 97-64 loss on Thursday night.
The Mountaineers (3-6) started 0-for-6 from the field before back-to-back buckets from Tyrell Johnson (Atlanta, Ga./Stephenson) and Ronshad Shabazz (Raleigh, N.C./Huntington Prep (W.V.)) got App State on the board.
Shabazz finished as the Mountaineers’ leading scorer with 14 points, while Jake Babic (Oakville, Ontario/The Kiski School) also finished in double-digits with 10 points.
