CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Ronshad Shabazz was unfazed on a big stage at No. 7 North Carolina and scored a career-high 21 points. Unfortuntely, Appalachian State University men’s basketball fell 94-70 on Monday night.
The Mountaineers (2-9) closed out their non-conference schedule on the road at the Tar Heels (10-3). Appalachian State conceded 31 points off of 19 total turnovers to their counterparts, while UNC shot 23-for-27 from the foul line in the 24-point victory.
Shabazz led the Apps with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three-point land and a ferocious one-handed slam in traffic.
