BOONE, N.C. -- App State sophomore Sarah Sandreuter posted a PR in the 5K to lead the Mountaineers to the team title at the Mountains to Sea Open on Friday evening at the Don Kennedy Trails.
The Mountaineers finished with 25 points, with Charlotte finishing second with 32 points and Western Kentucky placing third with 77 points.
Sandreuter crossed second overall for App State in a 5K PR of 17:42.40, bettering her previous mark of 18:38.6.
Lisha Van Onselen was right behind in third place with a time of 17:48.
