With 14 to 18 inches of natural snow falling on Beech Mountain Resort and Sugar Mountain Resort in the past few days and more snow and freezing temperatures in the forecast, President’s Day and Valentine’s Day weekend looks to be an exceptional opportunity to enjoy the slopes in the High Country.
President’s Day weekend is one of the major skiing holidays along with Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year, and a vast majority of the slopes and tubing lanes in the region are open.
With all this new snow, Beech Mountain Resort and Appalachian Ski Mtn. have pledged not to make any new snow this weekend.
