BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State quarterback Taylor Lamb finished his sophomore season with a school-record 31 touchdown passes. He ended his junior year with 126 rushing yards in a Camellia Bowl win against Toledo.

Lamb is closing his career as both a highly efficient passer and productive runner.

The Mountaineers (8-4) and Rockets (11-2) have another Alabama-based postseason matchup, this time at the Dollar General Bowl in Mobile on Dec. 23, and the game will feature two of the nation's top quarterbacks.

Lamb and Toledo's Logan Woodside are two of only three FBS players who completed the regular season with more than 25 touchdown passes and less than eight interceptions.
