ATLANTA, Ga. – Appalachian State University men’s basketball could not overcome a Georgia State 31-5 run midway through the first half and dropped its second game in a row on Saturday, 83-70, inside the GSU Sports Arena.
The Mountaineers (7-22, 5-13 Sun Belt) were led offensively by true freshman Ronshad Shabazz who finished with a game-high 23 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the field. Frank Eaves notched 17 and Jacob Lawson finished just shy of a career-high with 15 points. Lawson’s career-high of 16 came at UL Monroe on Feb.
