No. 7 UL Lafayette's Offense Overpowers App State

LAFAYETTE, La. - The seventh-ranked team in the nation, UL Lafayette, won a pair of five-inning games over Appalachian State University softball on Saturday with scores of 13-4 and 14-2.

The Mountaineers fell to 9-39 overall, 2-18 in the Sun Belt, and the conference's top team, the Ragin' Cajuns, improved to 34-6, 15-1 in league play. ULL has now won 27 consecutive Sun Belt series dating back to March of 2013.

For the day, Pepper Butler and Heather Josey each had three hits while Cara Parker had a couple of her own.
